Myrrh-Maid (Camamu)

Tefnut was the ancient Egyptian Goddess of Moisture. She was the mother of Nut (the sky) and Geb (the earth) and it is to her that we dedicate this drenching soap, stunningly scented with frankincense and myrrh essential oils. Both frankincense and myrrh, known as the holiest of oils and used in skin care for millenia, provide restoration, rejuvenation and revitalization for dry or aging skin. Both are used ceremonially to foster a connection with the divine; for more earthly concerns they help to calm, focus the mind and overcome feelings of stress and despair. Along with these magnificent skin-rejuvenating essential oils you'll find shea butter, cocoa butter and sea buckthorn oils added in abundance for their nourishment, replenishment and skin loving properties. In honor of her sons, Nut and Geb, this soap is colored a deep blue using organic alkanet powder with a earthy gold swirl of annatto powder.
