What Are Flower Essences? Essences are one of the many ways in which we can gain aid from the natural world. Essences do not contain any actual physical part of the plants or minerals from which they are made. They therefore do not use the chemical properties of these substances and are unflavored and unscented. Rather, through special preparation, essences contain the energetic properties of their parent substances. Like each of us, every flower, fruit, and mineral has their own characteristic energy and properties. Each brings a special wisdom and purpose which can be shared. Essences are yet another way the natural world inspires balance, health and harmony.
Use essences straight from the bottle or as follows:
- Add 10 or so drops to a glass of water
- Add to your bath
- Massage into accupressure points
- Mist the air with diluted essences
- Add to food or drink
- Add them to your laundry—their energy stays a long time; and don’t forget to share them with your plants and animals—they like them, too!
