Culinary Salts Fleur de Sel literally means "flower of salt". It has been gathered on the French island of Ré since the 7th Century. A gourmet and specialty salt which is only harvested 1-2 weeks a year when the weather and environmental conditions are just perfect for the salt crystals to literally bloom like a flower. This fine and light salt has a delicate flavor & high concentration of minerals, making it a perfect finishing salt.
