Ferula asafoetida This gum has been traditionally used in minute amounts in Indian, Persian, Nepali, and North African cooking to enhance the flavor of dishes. Has an unpleasant smell when raw but creates a smooth flavor when cooked. Routinely used as a substitute for garlic in many Asian countries, as it will not remain on the breath. Used to stimulate digestion and brain function. Has carminative, aromatic, antispasmodic and expectorant actions. Useful for hysterical symptoms, hypoglycemia, Candida, coldness, coughs & bronchitis. Helps to regulate chi & overcome food allergies.
